Osteoporosis
is a life threatening disease. Many believe Osteoporosis to be a chronic
metabolic disease,
others regard it as a manifestation of aging, either way: osteoporosis can kill:

osteoporotic fractures kill as many women as
breast cancer

30% to 50% of all women and 15% to 30% of all
men will face an osteoporotic fracture in their lifetime

4,000,000 fractures
every year cost Europe €30,000,000,000. This will double by 2050

250,000 elders will die from
related complications within 12 months, all others will remain
impaired
